About the Resize image

Handytool's image resizer changes the pixel dimensions of any photo in seconds. Set an exact width and height, lock the aspect ratio, or scale by percent — then resize a single image or a whole batch at once. Everything runs in your browser using the native Canvas API, so your photos never leave your device.

Resize image features

  • 01

    Pixels or percent

Switch between exact pixel dimensions and a percentage scale. The aspect-ratio lock keeps your images proportional automatically.

  • 02

    Batch resize

Drop a folder of photos and they all get resized in parallel. Download each one individually or grab the whole batch as a ZIP.

  • 03

    Choose the output format

Keep the original format or convert to JPG, PNG, WebP, or AVIF in the same step. A quality slider controls the compression level for lossy formats.

Resize image FAQ

How do I resize an image?
Drop your files onto the upload area, type a new width (or set a percentage), and click Resize. With aspect ratio locked, the height adjusts automatically. You can then download each image or all of them as a ZIP.
Will resizing reduce the quality of my image?
Downscaling re-samples the pixels using a high-quality interpolation, which keeps the result sharp. Upscaling beyond the original resolution will always soften the image — there are no extra pixels of detail to add.
Can I resize multiple images at once?
Yes. The resizer is fully batch-capable: select or drop as many files as you like and they will all be resized in parallel using the same settings.
What formats can I resize?
JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF, and HEIC/HEIF photos from iPhone are all supported. Output can be the same format or converted to JPG, PNG, WebP, or AVIF.
Is anything uploaded to a server?
No. The resizer uses your browser's Canvas API — your images are processed locally and never leave your device.
