How do I crop an image online?

Drop or pick an image, choose an aspect ratio (or 'Free' for any shape), drag the selection box to position it, then click Crop. The cropped image appears below ready to download.

Can I crop to a specific aspect ratio?

Yes. Pick from 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, or 9:16 and the selection will stay locked to that ratio while you drag and resize. 'Free' lets you draw any shape you want.

Does cropping change the image quality?

No. Cropping just removes pixels outside the selection — the remaining area is saved at its original resolution. Quality only changes if you pick a lossy output format like JPG, WebP, or AVIF.

What formats are supported?

JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, TIFF, and HEIC/HEIF. Output can be PNG, JPG, WebP, or AVIF.

Is my image uploaded?

No. The cropper runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your image is never sent to a server.
