About the Grammar checker

Handytool's grammar checker fixes spelling, grammar, punctuation and word-choice mistakes in any piece of writing — emails, essays, product copy, social posts or code comments. Paste up to 20,000 characters, click Check grammar, and an AI language model rewrites only what's wrong while keeping your meaning, tone and formatting. No account, no history, no watermark on the output.

Grammar checker features

  • 01

    AI-powered, language-agnostic

The model corrects English and most European, Latin American and Asian languages in the same request. It detects the language of your text automatically — you never have to pick one.

  • 02

    Preserves your voice

The prompt is tuned to fix errors, not rewrite for style. Line breaks, lists, markdown and personal tone survive the pass, so the output still sounds like you.

  • 03

    Minimal data footprint

Requests go straight to the language model and nothing is logged on Handytool's side. No history, no account, no analytics on the text itself.

Grammar checker FAQ

How does this grammar checker work?
Your text is sent to a large language model via a server-side proxy. The model is instructed to fix only spelling, grammar, punctuation and obvious word-choice errors, then return the corrected text. We don't store the input or the output.
Is the grammar checker free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no account, no trial limit and no watermark. The 20,000-character cap per check keeps the tool fast and free for everyone.
Does it work for languages other than English?
Yes. The model handles most widely written languages — Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and more — and will reply in the same language as your input.
Is my text private?
Unlike Handytool's browser-only tools, the grammar checker has to send your text to a cloud language model. Handytool itself does not log, store or share the text, but the model provider processes it to generate the correction. Don't paste confidential or regulated data.
Why is there a 20,000-character limit?
Keeping each request bounded makes responses fast and keeps the tool free for everyone. For longer documents, split the text into sections and run them one at a time.
Will it change the meaning of my writing?
It shouldn't. The model is prompted to preserve meaning, tone and formatting, and to fix only clear errors. If a sentence is ambiguous, it will pick the most likely reading — always give the output a quick read before publishing.
