YouTube banner maker
Build a 2560×1440 YouTube channel banner with the mobile, tablet and TV safe-zone overlay, so your logo and text land inside the area that actually renders on every device.
The banner is composed entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
About the YouTube banner maker
Handytool's YouTube banner maker resizes any image to YouTube's 2560×1440 channel-art spec and overlays the mobile, tablet and TV safe-zones so you can verify your logo and text land inside the 1546×423 area that renders on every device. Pick cover or contain mode, choose a background colour for the unused space, adjust vertical offset, and export as JPG or PNG under YouTube's 6 MB banner limit. The image is composed in your browser — never uploaded.
YouTube banner maker features
- 01
All three safe zones overlaid
See the mobile (1546×423), tablet (1855×423) and desktop (2560×423) safe rectangles drawn live on your banner. Anything outside the mobile box gets cropped on phones — position your text accordingly.
- 02
2560×1440 output, every time
YouTube uses the full 2560×1440 image on TV, crops down on smaller devices, and expects this exact dimension in Studio. The banner maker outputs that spec from any source aspect ratio.
- 03
Private, browser-only compositing
Everything — decode, resize, overlay, encode — runs in your browser with the Canvas API. Handytool never uploads, stores or logs your banner image.
YouTube banner maker FAQ
- What are the correct YouTube banner dimensions?
- 2560×1440 pixels, 6 MB maximum. YouTube crops this full-size image for each device: 2560×423 on desktop, 1855×423 on tablet and 1546×423 on mobile and TV-safe text.
- What is the YouTube banner safe zone?
- The 1546×423 rectangle centred on the 2560×1440 canvas — the area guaranteed to render on every device, including mobile. Your logo, channel name and key text must stay inside it.
- Why does my text get cut off on mobile?
- YouTube crops the centre strip for mobile. Any text outside the 1546×423 safe box disappears on phones. Enable the mobile safe-zone overlay and keep important content inside the green rectangle.
- What file format should I upload?
- YouTube accepts JPG, PNG, GIF and BMP, under 6 MB. JPG is the best default for photographic banners; PNG is better for flat colour or crisp text.
- Is my banner uploaded to a server?
- No. The tool composes everything locally in your browser. Handytool never sees the image you're building.
