About the Rotate PDF
Handytool's Rotate PDF tool turns sideways or upside-down pages the right way up without uploading anything to a server. Rotate every page in one click, or pick individual pages and cycle them to the exact orientation you need. The whole process runs locally in your browser, which makes it a safe option for contracts, scanned forms, receipts, and other private PDFs.
Rotate PDF features
- 01
Per-page control
Tap any page tile to rotate it by 90° and cycle through every orientation. Mix pages with different rotations and save them as a single corrected PDF.
- 02
One-click global rotation
Fix an entire document in a single move with 90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise, and 180° flip controls. Ideal for scans that all landed on their side.
- 03
Browser-only, no uploads
Your PDF is loaded, rotated, and exported entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded, queued, or stored on a remote server.
Rotate PDF FAQ
- How do I rotate a single page in a PDF?
- Open your PDF with Handytool's Rotate PDF tool, then tap the tile for the page you want to rotate. Each tap turns it another 90° — keep tapping until it looks right, then click Rotate PDF to save the document.
- Can I rotate every page at once?
- Yes. Use the 90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise, or 180° buttons above the page grid to apply the same rotation to every page in one move.
- Does the rotation stick after I reopen the PDF?
- Yes. Handytool writes the new rotation into the saved PDF, so every viewer — browsers, Acrobat, macOS Preview — will open the pages the right way up.
- Are my PDF files uploaded anywhere?
- No. The rotator runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Your PDF is never uploaded, stored, or sent to a server.
- Will rotating reduce the PDF quality?
- No. Handytool updates the page orientation metadata without re-rendering the content, so text, vector graphics, and embedded images keep their original quality.
- Does Rotate PDF work on mobile?
- Yes. It runs in any modern mobile browser on iPhone, iPad, and Android — the same way it does on macOS, Windows, Linux, and ChromeOS.
