About the Photo editor
Handytool's photo editor is a lightweight Photoshop-style canvas that runs entirely in your browser. Draw with a brush or eraser, drop in text, rectangles, ellipses, lines, and arrows, fine-tune brightness, contrast, saturation, blur, and other filters per layer, then crop, rotate, frame, and export as PNG, JPG, or WebP. With layers, an eyedropper, and full undo history, everything runs locally on your device - your photos are never uploaded.
Photo editor features
- 01
Brush, shapes, and text layers
Sketch and annotate with an adjustable brush and eraser, draw rectangles, ellipses, lines, and arrows, and add editable text - each as its own movable layer.
- 02
Filters and adjustments per layer
Tune brightness, contrast, saturation, hue, blur, grayscale, and sepia on any layer, pick colors from the image with the eyedropper, and undo or redo every step.
- 03
Private browser export
The editor decodes, composites, and exports images entirely in your browser. No account, no upload queue, and no remote copy of your photos.
Photo editor FAQ
- Can I draw on a photo online?
- Yes. Pick the brush tool, set its size, color, and opacity, and draw directly on the canvas. The eraser removes brush strokes without touching the photo underneath.
- Can I add text, arrows, or shapes to a photo?
- Yes. Add editable text layers and draw rectangles, ellipses, lines, and arrows with custom fill, stroke color, and stroke width - useful for callouts and annotations.
- Does the photo editor have filters?
- Yes. Each layer has brightness, contrast, saturation, hue, blur, grayscale, and sepia adjustments, so you can color-grade a photo or stylize a single element.
- Does the photo editor upload my images?
- No. Images are decoded, edited, composited, and exported in your browser using local JavaScript and Canvas APIs.
- Can I undo a mistake?
- Yes. The editor keeps an undo history - press Ctrl+Z or Cmd+Z to undo and Ctrl+Shift+Z to redo, or use the toolbar buttons.
- What can I export from the editor?
- You can download PNG, JPG, or WebP. JPG and WebP include a quality slider so you can balance sharpness and file size.
