About the Image Color Picker

Grab the exact color of any pixel in a photo and read it back as HEX, RGB, and HSL with one click to copy. A magnifier crosshair lets you zoom in for pixel-precise picking, picked colors are saved as swatches, and the tool automatically pulls a dominant palette of 6–8 colors from the whole image so you can lift a scheme in seconds. Everything runs locally in your browser — your image is never uploaded.

Image Color Picker FAQ

How do I pick a color from an image?
Upload the image, move your cursor over it to preview colors in the magnifier, then click a pixel. Its HEX is copied automatically and added to your swatch history.
Can I get the RGB and HSL values too?
Yes. Each picked or hovered color shows HEX, RGB, and HSL together, and each has its own copy button.
What is the dominant palette?
It is an automatic extraction of the 6–8 colors that best represent the whole image. Click any swatch to copy it, or use copy-all to grab the full palette at once.
Does it work with screenshots and photos from my phone?
Yes. It supports PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, and HEIC/HEIF, so screenshots and iPhone photos work directly.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The image is read and sampled entirely in your browser and never leaves your device.
