Cut & Edit Video FAQ

How do I cut a video online?
Drop your video into the tool, scrub the playhead to the frame where you want to cut, then click "Cut here". This splits the clip in two. Delete the unwanted part and click Export to download the result.
Can I remove a section from the middle of a video?
Yes. Cut at the start of the section to remove, then cut again at the end. Select the middle clip and click its delete button. Export joins the remaining clips seamlessly.
Can I change the order of clips?
Yes. After making cuts, use the up and down arrows in the clips list to reorder them. The numbered badges on the timeline update to show the new output order.
Will the video quality change after editing?
No. The tool uses stream-copy mode, which splices the video without re-encoding. Output quality is identical to the source.
What video formats are supported?
MP4, MOV, and WebM files up to 1 GB. The output format matches the input.
Is my video uploaded to a server?
No. All editing happens entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. Your video never leaves your device.
