How do I write a number in words for a cheque?

Enter the amount and choose a currency (USD, EUR, or GBP). The tool writes it as, for example, "One thousand two hundred dollars and fifty cents" — exactly what a cheque needs.

Does it handle decimals and negative numbers?

Yes. In plain mode, decimals are read digit by digit after "point," and negative numbers are prefixed with "negative." In currency mode, the fraction becomes cents or pence.

How large a number can it convert?

Up to the trillions (and beyond into quadrillions), so everyday amounts, populations, and financial figures are all covered.

Can it convert words back into a number?
