About the Dice roller

Roll virtual dice for D&D, tabletop RPGs and board games. Pick a die type from d4 to d100 (or set a custom number of sides), roll as many as you need, and add a modifier to the total. For d20 rolls there's a one-tap advantage / disadvantage mode that rolls twice and keeps the higher or lower die. Individual results, the grand total and a roll history are all shown, and every roll uses fair cryptographic randomness in your browser.

Dice roller features

  • 01

    Every die, plus custom

Standard polyhedral dice — d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and d100 — are one tap away, or enter a custom number of sides. Roll up to 20 dice at once and add a positive or negative modifier.

  • 02

    Advantage & disadvantage

For d20 rolls, switch on advantage or disadvantage: the roller throws two d20s and keeps the higher (or lower) one, showing the dropped die struck through — exactly like the tabletop rule.

  • 03

    Totals & roll history

See each die's value, the summed total with your modifier, and a running history of recent rolls in clear dice notation like 3d6+2. Copy any result in a tap.

Dice roller FAQ

How do I roll a d20 online?
Select the d20 die type and press Roll. You'll get a random number from 1 to 20 plus any modifier you've set, with the total shown large and clear.
What do advantage and disadvantage do?
For a d20, advantage rolls two dice and keeps the higher; disadvantage keeps the lower. Both dice are shown, with the dropped one crossed out, matching the standard tabletop RPG rules.
Can I roll multiple dice and add a bonus?
Yes. Set the number of dice (up to 20) and enter a modifier, positive or negative. The roller adds every die plus the modifier and displays the total, e.g. 3d6+2.
Can I roll dice with a custom number of sides?
Yes. Choose the 'custom' die type and enter any number of sides from 2 upward for unusual dice like a d3, d30 or d1000.
Are the dice rolls fair?
Every roll uses your browser's cryptographically secure random source with unbiased sampling, so each face is equally likely — fairer than most physical dice.
