How do I convert PNG to JPG?

Will I lose quality when converting PNG to JPG?

JPG is a lossy format, so some quality is traded for a smaller file size. At a quality setting of 85 or above, the difference is rarely visible to the naked eye. PNG files without complex photographic detail can be converted at 70–80 with minimal visible loss.

What happens to transparent areas in my PNG?

JPG does not support transparency. Any transparent or semi-transparent pixels in your PNG are composited onto a white background before the file is saved as JPG.
