Lower values = smaller file, more compression. 85 is a good default.

About the PNG to JPG

Upload one or more PNG files and Handytool converts them to JPG instantly in your browser. The PNG to JPG converter uses your device's own graphics engine — nothing is uploaded to a server, so your images stay completely private. Transparent areas are filled with a white background, and you control the output quality with a simple slider.

PNG to JPG features

  • 01

    Batch conversion

Drop multiple PNG files at once and convert them all in a single click. Each file is processed in parallel in your browser, so a batch of 20 images takes no longer than converting one.

  • 02

    Adjustable JPG quality

Use the quality slider (1–100) to balance file size against visual fidelity. A setting of 85–90 is typically indistinguishable from the original while cutting file size by 60–80%.

  • 03

    100% private, works offline

Conversion happens entirely in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API — your images never leave your device. The tool keeps working even without a network connection once the page has loaded.

PNG to JPG FAQ

How do I convert PNG to JPG?
Drop your PNG files onto the upload area (or click Choose files), adjust the quality slider if needed, then click Convert. Download individual files or use Download all to save everything at once.
Will I lose quality when converting PNG to JPG?
JPG is a lossy format, so some quality is traded for a smaller file size. At a quality setting of 85 or above, the difference is rarely visible to the naked eye. PNG files without complex photographic detail can be converted at 70–80 with minimal visible loss.
What happens to transparent areas in my PNG?
JPG does not support transparency. Any transparent or semi-transparent pixels in your PNG are composited onto a white background before the file is saved as JPG.
Can I convert multiple PNG files at once?
Yes. Select or drop as many PNG files as you like — they are all converted in parallel and appear as individual JPG files ready to download.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The converter runs entirely inside your browser using JavaScript and the HTML5 Canvas API. Your images never leave your device and nothing is stored or logged.
