About the PDF to Word

Handytool's PDF to Word converter turns a PDF into an editable .docx document so you can keep working with the text in Word, Google Docs, or Pages. It extracts the document's text into clean Word paragraphs, optionally keeping a page break between each page. Conversion runs entirely in your browser, so even sensitive PDFs stay on your device.

PDF to Word FAQ

Will the layout look exactly like the PDF?
No converter is perfect. Handytool extracts the editable text into a Word document, but complex columns, tables, and exact positioning may not be reproduced — the goal is editable content, not a pixel-perfect copy.
Does it work on scanned PDFs?
Only PDFs with real text can be converted. A scanned PDF is just images, so there's no text to place into the Word file without OCR.
Is the Word file really editable?
Yes. The output is a genuine .docx with selectable, editable paragraphs you can change like any other Word document.
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser — your file is never uploaded to a server.
