How do I split a list of names into random teams?

Paste your names one per line, choose the number of teams (or a team size), and press Generate. Everyone is shuffled with secure randomness and distributed into balanced teams.

Can I make teams of a specific size?

Yes. Switch to 'teams of size' mode and set the size — the generator creates as many teams as needed and keeps the member counts balanced.

Are the teams evenly balanced?

Yes. Names are distributed round-robin after shuffling, so team sizes never differ by more than one person.

Can I name the teams myself?

Yes. Enter one team name per line in the team names box; any teams you don't name fall back to Team 1, Team 2 and so on.

Is the team generator private?

Completely. Your name list is processed in your browser only — nothing is uploaded, saved or tracked.
